Business Mogul Roberto Santiago

If you’re thinking about traveling to Brazil, you may want to visit Manaira Shopping Mall; it is the largest mall in Paraiba, and one of the largest in all of Brazil. The mall offers a myriad of shopping choices for tourist and natives of Brazil. Built in 1989, the mall is home to countless retailers, fitness centers, and movie theatres; it also has a large food court that accommodates many restaurants. In 2009, Domus Hall was added to the roof of the mall, which broadened the mall’s appeal; the mall has a maximum occupancy of 10,000 people, which is ideal for hosting concerts and other large-scale events.

Manaira Shopping Mall is the brainchild of entrepreneur Roberto Santiago Manaira; he attended the University Center of Joao Pessoa alumnus, where he earned a degree in Business Administration. Roberto ostensibly had ambitious plans for the mall well before construction ever began. In 1987, Roberto purchased the parcel of land that would ultimately be home to the mall; it would be another two years before construction would be completed and the dream of owning one of the largest malls in Brazil, would come to fruition.

The construction of the Manaira Shopping Mall has had a significant economic impact on Joao Pessoa, which is the capital of Paraíba. The mall has lured many corporations to the city, resulting in more jobs for the city. Additionally, the mall has generated considerable social engagement by attracting a wide demographic of people. In fact, The College of Higher Education is one of the mall’s largest tenants, attracting a mix of students from all around the world.

Furthermore, Manaira Shopping Mall is renown for its movie theaters; the mall boasts 11 theaters in total and offers bar service to its patrons as well as traditional refreshments like popcorn, candy, and much more. The mall also attracts many video game enthusiasts; “Game Station” is another large tenant in the mall, popular with teens and young adults.

Prior to the Manaira Shopping Mall, Roberto was involved in a number of business ventures; he began his career in manufacturing, where he focused on utilitarian products. Soon after, Roberto founded “The Cartonnage Company,” which was predicated on designing and manufacturing foldable cardboard cartons for area businesses. Roberto’s business acumen has earned him considerable praise; he has been hailed as one of the most enterprising businessmen in the country, due in large part to the success of Manaira Shopping Mall. However, Roberto Santiago is quite humble; he cites hard work, commitment, and discipline as the basis for his success.

Roberto is a proponent of giving back to the community; he believes in mentoring new and prospective entrepreneurs, encouraging them to make an impact and turn their dreams into reality. Roberto not only creates wealth for himself, he helps others who are equally ambitious.
